 Millainen olisi päivä stylistina? Hullun hauska tietenkin! Yksi Suomen kovimmista street tanssiryhmistä One80 Dance Crew pyysi minua stylistikseen Turkuun maatanäkyvissä festareille. Innostuin, sillä näytösmeikit saa olla tosi rajut ja näyttävät, jotta ilmeet näkyisivät koko yleisö. Lähdimme vaatetuksen kanssa liikkeelle siitä, mitä vaatteita tanssijoilla jo oli. Kokonaisuus oli räväkkä ja hauska. En ehtinyt ottaa kuvia puvustuksesta, mutta onneksi joku muu ehti.

What would be a day as a stylist? A Lot of fun of course! One of the best street groups One80 Dance Crew asked me to style them for maatanäkyvissä in Turku. It's the biggest christian youth event in Europe. I got excited because show makeup can be really splashy. We started with the clothing the dancers already had. The whole set ended up fun and cool. I didn't have time to take pictures of the outfit, but luckily someone else did.

Aloitin piirtämällä luonnokset puvustuksen ja meikin tyylistä. Haasteena hiuksissa oli viiden naistanssijan eripituiset ja paksuiset hiukset ja mielipiteet. Onnistuin kuitenkin keksimään kampauksen joka näytti kaikilla hyvältä.

I started by making a draft of the makeup and clothing. The challenge was the different hair and opinions of five young women. However I was able to do a hairdo that looked good for all of them.

 Meikissä käytin kasvovesivärejä. Niillä saa intensiivisemmän ja kestävämmän tuloksen kuin monilla luomiväreillä. Tekemistä oli paljon ja onneksi kaverini Veronika ja tanssija- Anni auttoivat.
Tanssiryhmän esitykset olivat aivan mahtavia toinen niistä esitettiin räppiyhtye GodFM:n kanssa. Koreografia oli Ricardo Carranzan tekemä.

I used water colors for face to make an intensive and long lasting makeup. There was lot of work to do and luckily my friend Veronika and one of the dancers Anni helped me. The dance performances were great. The second one was performed together with a rap group called GodFM. The choreography was made by Ricardo Carranza

Loppuillasta Anni sai houkuteltua minut kokeilemaan riehumista Disciple bändin keikalle. Puskimme eturiviin ja moshasimme päät kipeiksi. Meistä kumpikaan ei ole heavy-rockin ystäviä, mutta keikoilla on mahtava tunnelma siitä huolimatta. Keikan jälkeen lähdimme ajamaan takaisin espooseen. Pitkän päivän jälkeen matka oli vähintäänkin sekava. Kiitos ABC:n energiajuoman ja tahmeiden eväiden, pääsimme perille ehjinä.

Anni got me to try going crazy for the rest of the evening. We went to a heavy metal gig. The band is called Disciple. We pushed ourselves to the front row. Neither of us is  a friend of heavy metal, but we still could enjoy the atmosphere. After the gig we drove back to Espoo. After a long day the trip turned out to be crazy. Thanks to ABC's energy drinks and tacky snacks we arrived safe to Espoo.

Canon 350D

Jee jee! Nyt on järkkäri käytössä niin saa parempilaatusia kuvia. Olin ostamassa järkkäriä mutta en edelleenkään tajua mitään niiden numerosarjoja täynnä olevista ominaisuuksista. Satuin puhumaan asiasta veljeni kanssa. Hän oli ostanut järkkärin vuosia sitten, eikä ollut käyttänyt sitä pitkään aikaan. Sain sen nyt lainaan ja opettelu alkoi. Canon 350D on mukavan kevyt ja automaattitarkennus on aloittelijan paras työväline.

Oh yeah! Now I've got a slr camera for taking pictures with better quality. I was about to buy a slr camera, but I still can't understand any of all those features full of codes and numbers. Luckily I spoke about it with my brother. He had bought a slr camera for a few years ogo, and had not used it for a while. He lent it to me. Canon 350D is light and the automatic focus makes everything more simple.
